PiQuant has developed a handheld IoT device, which is able to scan food so consumers know more about the freshness, country of origin, nutrition information before they buy or eat the food. PiQuant uses spectroscopy and their unique algorithm to analyze the foods. This system consists of a convenient handheld wireless scanner and a smartphone application to display information about the food.
