Mark Cuban Advisory Board
Owner of the Dallas Mavericks

Mark Cuban took his first steps as an entrepreneur at age 12, going door-to-door selling garbage bags. Today, Mark is a successful entrepreneur and investor who founded HDNet, Broadcast.com, and MicroSolutions. Mark Cuban has invested in startups such as Mahalo, JungleCents.com, motionloft.com, Filesanywhere.com, Naked Pizza, and 140Fire.com. Mark is one of the most influential figures in the cable and sports industry, recipient of GQ Magazine's "Man of the Year" award in 2006 and featured in The New York Times Magazine's "Year of Ideas."

On January 4, 2000, Mark became known to the world through the acquisition of the Dallas Mavericks. Through Mark Cuban's outstanding management strategy, home fans on game days experience the perfect combination of entertainment and game viewing. Mark Cuban introduced original videos, cutting-edge technology, and special entertainment features like the Mavericks ManiAACs, allowing fans to experience more than just a typical game, and these efforts have given home fans pride and passion.

Prior to acquiring the Mavericks, Mark co-founded Broadcast.com, a leading company in internet multimedia streaming. Broadcast.com was later sold to Yahoo in July 1999.

MicroSolutions, a national systems integration provider, was founded in 1983 by Mark and partner Martin Woodall. MicroSolutions was sold to CompuServe.

Currently, Mark operates as owner and chairman of HDNet (www.HD.net). HDNet and its network affiliate HDNet Movies are among the few independently owned TV broadcasters in the United States and introduced the world's first dedicated high-definition programming. Mark directly coordinates programming schedules and oversees program direction through both networks. Under the management of Mark Cuban and co-founder Philip Garvin, HDNet dominates major network broadcasters with large distribution power.

Mark Cuban also co-owns the Landmark Theatres chain, Magnolia Pictures, and Magnolia Home Video with partner Todd Wagner. As a management breakthrough strategy with the 2005 film Bubble, Mark Cuban quickly introduced films showing at Magnolia Landmark Theatres on TV (HDNet Movies) and DVD on the same day and date as theatrical release. Going a step further, Mark Cuban deployed a groundbreaking strategy introducing the "Ultra VOD" platform, a video-on-demand system allowing pre-ordering of movie viewing through cable and satellite up to four weeks before theatrical release.
