Tom Peters is called the guru of economists. The Los Angeles Times called him the father of the postmodern corporation, and Fortune magazine expressed it as "We live in Tom Peters' world."
His first book, co-authored with Robert Waterman, 'In Search of Excellence,' became a bestseller immediately upon publication in 1982. This book was named by NPR in 1999 as one of the three best business books of the century. He subsequently published 'A Passion for Excellence' with Nancy Austin. He has continued to publish books that are counted as international bestsellers, such as 'Thriving on Chaos,' 'Liberation Management,' 'The Tom Peters Seminar,' 'The Pursuit of Wow!,' 'The Circle of Innovation,' 'The Brand You 50,' 'The Project50,' and 'The Professional Service Firm50.' His book 'Re-imagine!' addresses themes of leadership, design, trends, and talent.
In addition to his active work as an author, Tom Peters serves as a speaker at more than 50 global seminars annually.
He graduated from Cornell and Stanford University, served as a White House advisor on drug abuse prevention, worked as a partner at McKinsey & Company, and served four years in the Navy, including two tours in Vietnam. Tom and his family live in Vermont.
