Piquant is a specialist company in spectroscopy-based component analysis solutions. It develops systems providing precise and near-real-time analysis and monitoring of air quality, water quality, skin condition, and other areas — including fine dust — using IoT, AI, and Big Data.

Piquant developed a technology to measure bacteria in water in near-real time, making it the first Korean company to secure a partnership agreement and research and business funding from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. In 2020, it became a foundation partner in the water and sanitation improvement sector. In 2022, it passed the Foundation's second support program and received approximately KRW 900 million in funding. It currently exports to India's Ganges River management authority, Vietnamese nonprofits, and UNICEF.
