Brendon Kim has over 16 years’ experience as an investor, board member and advisor in numerous startups. He is currently a Senior Director at Samsung Electronics in the Open Innovation Center’s early stage venture investment team. The Open Innovation Center makes strategic investments in software and services startups in a broad range of areas including context awareness, device-to-device interactivity, content and delivery, security and privacy, and big data analytics in the consumer, mobile enterprise, healthcare, and education industry verticals.

Before joining Samsung, Brendon was a co-founding general partner of Altos Ventures where he led investments in many early-stage companies. Prior to forming Altos, Brendon was a strategy consultant at CSC Index and SMS Coopers & Lybrand (PWC) focusing on clients in the technology, telecommunications, media and healthcare industries.

Brendon received his MBA from the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University and his BA from Princeton University.
