Bumshik Hong is a partner at Bain & Company in Seoul and the co-head of Asia TMT (Telecommunications, Media and Technology) practice.

His career has been focused on telecommunications and technology industry across various functions from corporate strategy to operation improvement. His particular interest lies in how all these technology companies compete across value chains rather than within the traditional value chain in this convergence era.

He has more than 15 years of consulting experiences in corporate-level projects ranging from global business portfolio development, innovative management infra development, organizational strategy, M&A in the global market to new business model development for organic growth.

Prior to joining Bain & Company Bumshik worked for other global consulting firms as a Partner and also served as a senior executive at SK Telecom responsible for its growth strategy and innovation. He also served as a member of the board for two innovative companies in Silicon Valley, both of them in the retail, finance and mobile convergence sector.

He has MBA and MIA dual degree from Columbia University and B.S. degree in Business Administration from University of Southern California.
