Patrick is a principal at Accretive LLC, where he helps to define and build industry-defining new businesses. Accretive's mission is to create specialized companies that deliver transformational value to customers. Patrick's involvement in Accretive's research and development process yields deep sector knowledge and core insights that unleash innovative solutions to large, complex problems. Patrick collaborates with industry-leading customers and executives to build meaningful companies that deliver immediate business outcomes and long term systemic value. Prior to Accretive, Patrick was part of the core post-MBA investment team at Bain Capital Ventures, a Boston-based venture firm dedicated to helping exceptional high-potential partners become long-term leaders in their markets. Patrick is passionate about entrepreneurship, disruptive technologies, emerging business models, and growth investing.
Patrick started his post-college career as a consultant with McKinsey & Company headquartered out of New York City.
Patrick subsequently worked with Francisco Partners, a private equity firm based in the Bay Area, where he invested in growing technology companies.
Since then, Patrick has also held board-level, product management and strategy roles, including work with Princeton Review, Microsoft Gaming Studios and Vercoop (a pre-revenue digital media startup). In addition, he has spent time in leadership roles launching venture experiments in the online recruiting and leadership education spaces.
Patrick has an A.B. from Harvard College, a Masters from Graduate School of Arts & Sciences at Harvard University, and an MBA from Harvard Business School (HBS). At HBS, Patrick focused on entrepreneurship, business ethics, and the juncture between business and technology. During his second year, he had the honor of serving as Co-President of the Student Association, the student body of Harvard Business School.
