SB Kim is one of the pioneers of online gaming. He was the Chief Creative Officer at Nexon and the architect behind the world's first MMORPG, Kingdom of the Winds (1996). SB Kim was responsible for the planning and design of the game content and more importantly played a critical role in the technical architecture of Kingdom of the Winds.

Nexon listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange on December 14, 2011 and currently commands a market cap of over US$8 billion. During his fourteen year career with Nexon, SB Kim was involved and advised all other signature games such as Maple Story and Kart Rider. He was also a key executive for the major game publishing decisions for the company. SB earned his BS and MS from KAIST along with qualifying for his PhD.
