Scott joined Foundation Capital as an E.I.R. in February 2012. Scott brings over 22 years of wireless, gaming and consumer Internet start-up experience in Sales, Business Development and Operations in Silicon Valley. Most recently, Scott was co-founder and SVP of Sales and Business Development for Rivet Games, Inc. a leading 3D virtual pet and social gaming company that in the past 4 years, grew to over 10MM MAU’s. A key developer for 20th Century Fox studio’s, Rivet Games launched the exclusive online version of each pet for the movies “Marley & Me” and “Marmaduke”.
Prior to Rivet Games, Scott was President & CEO of BookCrossing, one of the largest book social networking communities with an “active” membership of nearly 1,000,000 members in over 150 countries. BookCrossing’s website allows users to create virtual online bookshelves, share and exchange books, facilitate in person book club “meet-ups” and has over 3 Terabytes of user generated content from its many products and services.
Prior to BookCrossing, Scott was SVP of Sales and Client Services at Adteractive, Inc., the leader in performance based online marketing, delivering over 2MM monthly subscribers, leads and customers on a pay-for-performance basis.(CPL, CPA, CPC and CPM). Under Scott’s leadership, revenue doubled from $80MM to over $160MM with EBITDA contribution of $32MM and a customer base of over 270. Scott has previously held executive management positions at CaseCentral, Propel Software, Jarna Software, Excite@Home, Netcom and Knight-Ridder Dialog Information Services and has raised over $50MM in private and debt equity. Scott is actively involved in start-up mentorship programs and is currently on the Board of Advisors of: Jarvus, Usic and KlickPush
