Tim Peek is a storytelling and business transformation expert focused on creating opportunities for people and organizations to tell their stories in new media.

Peek worked at NBC News for 17 years, holding posts from investigative producer, to principal prime-time breaking news producer, to digital video director, to executive producer for transformation, to director of native advertising development.

In those roles he worked to incorporate new technologies, workflows and corporate culture to better align a traditional media company to the disruptive reality of the 21st century internet environment.

Peek has won numerous awards, including four national Emmys for his breaking news coverage and a George Polk award for his investigative work.

Peek began his television career at the nationally syndicated program Inside Edition in 1993. Before that, he worked in newspapers and radio, starting and expanding several community papers.

Today Peek is an executive coach and advisor to numerous web media startups in the content and advertising space, as well as a partner in two startups devoted to creating apps for personal development. Peek is also co-founder of NextMedia Studios, a digital video production house devoted to producing long-form dramatic and branded content for streaming media.

Peek began his journalism career as a free-lance writer and news director of the college radio station at Colorado College, where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology. He also holds a Master’s Degree in Journalism from Northwestern University.

Peek is a dedicated athlete, racing mountain bikes and long-distance running in the warm months, and telemark skiing when it snows on the East Coast.

He’s married to his college sweetheart and has three children.
