Curiochips is a laboratory startup from Seoul National University that provides human organ-on-a-chip platform for developing pre-clinical drugs and personalized medicine by mimicking 3D micro vasculature system in vitro.

Currently, animal experiments are conducted at pre-clinical stage to develop drugs. Some animal experiments carry a risk of inaccurate prediction becuase they do not use human cell and tissue. In order to overcome this problem, Curiochips developed an organ-on-a-chip technology that evaluates drug response through microvessel by mimicking human 3D micro vasculature and specific human tissues. It is expected that this technology will be utilized not only in drug development but also as a personalized medical technology by utilizing patient samples.
